Cross Country Facilities
Luther has one of the best on-campus cross-country courses in the Iowa Conference; acres of open field, woods, and prairie on campus provide ideal training for both cross country and distance track. In Decorah, the Oneota River Valley provides miles of gravel roads, challenging hills, and endless trails littered throughout the bluff country.
The course is home to the Iowa Conference record setting Norse men's and women's cross country teams. The Norse women have been crowned IIAC champions a record 11 times, and the men have won the league title a record 28 times.
For the past 37 years, the course has been the home for the All-American Invitational. Over 1,500 athletes participate annually, running in the boys and girls junior high and high school races, as well as the men's and women's collegiate races.
