Coe Defeats Luther in Cedar Rapids 68-50

Coe missed just 16 shots the entire evening en route to a 68-50 victory over Luther in Eby Fieldhouse this afternoon. The Kohawks connected on 24-of-40 attempts and also out rebounded the Norse 34-23. The Kohawks led at halftime 31-22 and outscored the Norse 37-28 in the second frame.

Coe's Kyle Kuenstling led all scorers with 23 points. Alex Tatman also reached double digits with 13.

Austin Bildstein once again led the Norse in scoring. Bildstein tallied 10 points and was followed by Zac Ruckebeil (9) and Jacy Dillahunty (7). Dillahunty and Nnamdi Okolue led the team in rebounding with four each.

The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference record to 1-5, 5-9 overall. Coe levels its IIAC record to 3-3, 8-7 overall.

The Norse are in the midst of a stretch where they will play five games in 10 days. Monday, Jan. 21, the Norse will travel to Wartburg College for an 8:00 p.m. contest. Luther returns home for games with Loras on Jan. 23 and Coe on Jan. 26.
