Trailing 32-26 at halftime, Luther battled back in the second half to take a 41-36 lead with just under eight minutes remaining in the game. The rest of the way, the lead changed hands seven times, before Cornell pulled out a 54-51 victory over the Norse.

Cornell took its final lead of the ball game (52-50) thanks to a Griffin LaDew three-point bucket with 48 seconds remaining on the clock. Luther had two opportunities at the free throw line to tied the game, but missed 3-of-4 attempts. The free throw line proved costly for the Norse all evening as they connected on just 9-of-19 tries.

Austin Bildstein and Jake Waddle led the Norse offensive attack. Bildstein scored a team high 12 points and Waddle chipped in 11, thanks to a 3-for-6 performance from behind the three-point line. Zac Ruckebeil had another solid outing scoring nine points and collecting eight rebounds.
