Norse Produce 45-Point Victory Over Dutch on Senior Day

A three-point basket by Austin Bildstein 40 seconds into the game, gave the Norse the lead for good in this contest, that saw Luther produce its highest point total of the season. Leading 33-23 at halftime, the Norse went on to post a 45-point (90-45) victory over the Dutch, on Senior Day here in the Regents Center.
Luther blistered the nets, shooting 53.6% (30-56), that included a 10-of-15 performance from behind the three-point line. Jake Waddle led the long-ball attack with three treys. He was followed by Zac Ruckebeil and Brad Sicoli both with two, while Bildstein and Logan Prochaska were both credited with one.
Ruckebeil led all scorers with 17 points and also collected a game high eight rebounds. Nnamdi Okolue also reached double digits with 12. Bildstein, Waddle and Jacy Dillahunty all chipped in nine.
Central shot just 25.5% (13-51) for the game. Brett DeHoogh was the leading scorer with eight. He was followed by Miguel Ley with seven and Zach Cooper with six.
The win snapped a seven-game losing streak and gave the Norse an Iowa Conference record of 3-13, 7-18 overall. Central fell to 7-9 in the IIAC, 14-9 overall.
