Dahlheimer Tallies Double Digits - Norse Lose to Spartans

The University of Dubuque handed Luther its fifth loss in a row, posting a 70-49 victory on its home court this evening. The Spartans blistered the nets the entire evening shooting 51% (28-54) from the field, that included a 10-for-19 effort from behind the three-point line.
The Norse shot 32% (20-63) and trailed 35-22 at intermission. Andrew Dahlheimer was the only player to reach double digits with 14. Dahlheimer was an impressive 7-of-8 from the field. Zac Ruckebeil and Jake Waddle were the next two point producers with six points each.
Four players reached double figures for the Spartans. Austin Gorsh led all scorers with 18. He was followed by Tyler Daugherty (16), Taylor Blum (13) and Jeremy Weaks (11).
The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference record to 2-11, 6-16 overall. Dubuque is now 7-7 in the IIAC, 11-10 overall.
Luther will return to Dubuque this Saturday and will square off with Loras College at 4:00 p.m.
