Zac Ruckebeil Named Second Team All-Conference

The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced March 4, that Zac Ruckebeil, a 2005 graduate of Zion-Benton High School, has been named a second-team all-conference selection. Fourteen players, seven on both the first and second team, were named to the 2009 all-conference team, plus six honorable mention honorees.
For the second year in a row, Ruckebeil led the IIAC in rebounding collecting 8.8 per game. He was also ranked 16th in scoring with an average of 10.6 points per game. Last year Ruckebeil was an honorable mention all-conference selection.
During the 2008-09 campaign, Ruckebeil led the Norse in four statistical categories. He tallied 244 points, 200 rebounds, 43 assists and 16 blocked shots. He completed his career with 549 points, 504 rebounds, 93 assists in 72 games played.
Ruckebeil, is the son of Mark and Sandy Ruckebeil of Zion, Ill.
