Luther wins 54th Annual dual with UW-lacrosse

On a very wet and chilly afternoon, the 54th annual Luther versus UW-La Crosse dual took place here in Decorah. Thirty-nine runners braved the rain and the mud on the four mile course on the Luther campus.
All five of Luther's scorers finished in the top-10 en route to a point total of 23 points. UW-La Crosse had three runners in the top-10, including the individual champion Michael Behringer, and finished 12 points behind the Norse with a total of 35. Behringer crossed the finish line clocked at 21:33.
Luther was led by Evan Neubauer who crossed the finish line in second place with a time of 21:42. The remainder of Luther's top-five included Alex Rigdon (3rd, 21:46), Austin Tegels (5th, 21:54), Andrew Papke-Larson (6th, 21:56), and Matt Rubins (7th, 22:01). Peter Kraus (9th, 22:13) and Brock Laue (11th, 22:20) completed the top seven.
The Norse will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 31 when they will travel to Waverly, Iowa and Wartburg College for the Iowa Conference Championships.
