Luther 14th at St. John's Invite - Schumacher Posts Top-10 Finish

Luther traveled to central Minnesota for the two-day St. John's University Fall Invitational. The defending national champions hosted the event on the par 72, 7,059 yard Greystone Golf Course located in Sauk Centre, Minn. on day one, and the Blackberry Ridge Golf Course located in Sartell, Minn. the second day. Blackberry Ridge Golf Course is a par 72, 6,992 yard layout.
The Norse shot a two day total of 661, finishing 14th in the 14-school, 20-team tournament. Luther posted rounds of 334 on day one and 327 on day two. St. John's won the team championship posting a 617.
Alec Schumacher posted a top-10 finish carding a 153. He posted rounds of 78 and 75 and finished in a five-way tie for eighth place from the field of 104 players.
The remainder of the Norse lineup and how they finished included Paul Soener (t44th - 163), Tom Lantzy (t70th - 170), Chase Forkenbrock (t85th - 175) and Jake Jurgensen (t93rd - 179).
The Norse will continue fall play at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational on Sept. 23-24.
