Central Defeats Luther 5-0 in Pella

Central scored three times in the first half and twice in the second, handing Luther its worst loss of the season this afternoon in Pella.
The Dutch, who out shot the Norse 23-12, placed nine shots on goal. The Norse tallied six shots on goal, five in the first half and one in the second.
Both Central and Luther entered this match having already made the six-team Iowa Conference Tournament field. After today's outcome, Central moves to 6-2 in the IIAC and Luther falls to 5-2. Luther's overall record is now 8-7-2, while Central improved to 12-4-1.
The Norse will complete their regular season non-conference schedule at home on Wednesday, Oct. 24, when they will host UW-Platteville at 7:00 p.m.
