Top Seed Loras Defeats Luther 5-0

Top seed Loras College ended Luther's season this afternoon in Dubuque, after defeating the Norse 5-0 in a semifinal match of the Iowa Conference Tournament. The loss lowered Luther's overall record to 9-10-2.
The Duhawks, ranked #3 in the nation, remain unbeaten this year increasing its overall record to 19-0-1. Loras dominated this match throughout the 90 minutes of play, out shooting the Norse 25-10. The Duhawks also tallied 13 shots on goal, while Luther was credited with five.
Loras scored twice in the first half and three times in the second, advancing to the championship match for the fifth consecutive year. The Duhawks will play the winner of the #2 Wartburg/#3 Central match that followed this contest.
