Luther hosted UW-Whitewater this evening and was defeated by the Warhawks 2-0. Whitewater, ranked sixth in the Central Region, did all of its damage in the first half scoring goals at 17:23 and 33:13.
The loss drops Luther's overall record to 3-4-2, while Whitewater moves to 8-1. Whitewater's only loss of the year was to Wartburg 2-1 in overtime on Sept. 2.
The Norse will begin Iowa Conference play at Buena Vista University on Saturday, Sept. 29. The men's match will followed the 2:00 p.m. women's match, with a start time scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
