Luther posts third conference win in a row - Defeats central 1-0

The Luther College men's soccer team ran its string of consecutive Iowa Conference victories to three after defeating Central College 1-0 this afternoon in Pella.
In a match where the match statistics were even, a Norse penalty kick by Michael Olson in the 26th minute, proved to be the difference in the match. Olson's goal was his second of the year.
Both teams tallied 14 shots, two corner kicks and both goalkeepers were credited with three saves. The shutout was Steve O'Meara's sixth of the season.
The victory gives Luther an Iowa Conference record of 4-2, 6-8-1 overall. Central falls to 1-5 in league action, 6-9 overall.
The Norse will return to action this Saturday when they will travel to Wartburg College for a match that will begin at 3:00 p.m.
