Norse Set Five Meet Records at Gustavus Invite

Luther swimmers and divers set five meet records en route to a second place finish at the Gustavus Invitational held Nov. 17. Gustavus won the meet with 1,282 points, followed by the Norse with 1,028 and St. John's University with 539.
Meet records were set by Alex Eganhouse, Cameron Webb, Bryan Perrott and Michael Pettengill.
Eganhouse won the three-meter diving competition with a meet record 230.70 points. He finished second to Marcus Rien of St. John's (235.60) in one-meter diving by less than a point (234.65).
Webb, who captured three individual titles, set meet records in the 200 freestyle (1:44.96) and the 100 freestyle (48.13). He also won the 200 backstroke (2:00.63).
Perrott established a meet record in the 100 backstroke (54.70) and also placed first in the 200 backstroke (2:00.63).
Michael Pettengill, continued his winning ways, posting new records in both the 100 breaststroke (59.29) and the 200 breaststroke (2:13.80).
The Norse return to action Nov. 30-Dec. 1, when they will travel to the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center for the Falcon Invite hosted by UW-River Falls.
