Norse Defeat Grinnell - Set Six Pool Records

Luther posted an impressive 207-93 victory over Grinnell College here in the Regents Center pool this afternoon. The Norse won all but two events and set six pool records en route to their seventh win of the season against just one loss.

Cameron Webb set two individual pool records and also swam the third leg of the record setting 200 freestyle relay. Webb posted victories in the 100 freestyle (47.30) and 200 freestyle (1:44.08). His time in the 100 freestyle was also a new school record. Taylor Nelson, Eric Crawford and Ben Skutnik surrounded Webb in the 200 freestyle relay, posting a new pool record time of 1:26.26.

Nelson set a pool record in the 50 freestyle, posting a time of 21.81 in the first leg of the 200 freestyle relay.

Bryan Perrott and Andrew Bross also established new pool marks. Perrott own the 100 backstroke (54.32), while Bross won the 200 butterfly (1:58.37).

Alex Eganhouse broke his own school record for six dives optional, posting a new mark of 296.95.

The Norse will return to action next weekend when they will travel to Coe College for the Iowa Conference championships. The Norse will be favored to capture a fourth consecutive team title.
