Luther Drops Just One Match in Wins Over Buena Vista and Morningside

Luther remained unbeaten in Iowa Conference action (5-0) and increased its overall record to 16-3 with a pair of victories over Buena Vista University and Morningside College this afternoon in Storm Lake. The Norse lost just one match defeating Morningside 9-0 and Buena Vista 8-1.
In the Buena Vista match, Aaron Gedron at #1 singles and Joe LaFontaine at #3 both posted 6-0, 6-0 victories. Tyler VanHeest at #4 just missed a perfect score securing a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Gedron and VanHeest led the way in doubles play with an 8-0 win at #1.
Luther's lone loss of the afternoon was at #3 doubles where Buena Vista tallied an 8-6 win.
The Norse won all six singles matches in straight sets during the 9-0 victory over Morningside. VanHeest and LaFontaine won 8-0 at #2 doubles, while Chase Krebsbach and Zach Kulzer posted an 8-1 victory at #3.
Luther returns to action Mar. 21-28, when it will play six matches in seven days during its annual spring trip to Orlando, Fla.
