Luther posts sixth win in a row - defeats North central 8-1

The men's tennis team posted its sixth win in a row and increased its overall record to 19-3, following an 8-1 victory over North Central College (IL) today in Orlando, Florida.
Thomas Orser and Harrison Whiteley dropped an 8-6 decision to Matt Boguslawski at #1 doubles. Scott Martin and Utsab Rijal posted an 8-1 victory at #2, while Cole Henry and Mark Mateski were victorious 8-0 at #3.
Luther swept singles play in straight sets in all but one match. Rijal had to come back after dropping his first set at #2, to post a three set victory, 1-6, 6-2, 10-6. Scott Sundstrom, ranked #20 in the Central Region, defeated Sweeney, ranked #18, 6-1, 6-0 at #1. Sundstrom is now 13-4 for the season, 9-2 at #1.
The Norse will continue play this afternoon when they will face NCAA II Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.
