#11 Luther Defeats #19 Wabash College

The men's tennis team kicked off its swing through Indiana with an impressive 9-0 victory over #19 Wabash College this evening. The Norse entered this match ranked #11 in the Central Region and increased their overall record to 12-2. The 9-0 victory was the sixth of the season for the Norse.
Scott Sundstrom and Harrison Whiteley posted hard-fought three set victories at #1 and #2 singles respectively. Sundstrom was victorious 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, while Whiteley posted a 0-6, 6-2, 6-2 win.
Whiteley also went into overtime at #1 doubles with Thomas Orser posting a 9-8 (7-4) tie-breaker victory.
Luther will wrap up its trip through Indiana tomorrow with two matches at DePauw University located in Greencastle. The Norse will play Hope College (MI) at 9:00 a.m. and DePauw at 2:00 p.m.
At home, the Norse will host Simpson College at 6:30 p.m. in the Regents Center
