Norse Finish Eighth at IIAC Indoor Championships

Luther posted a two-day total of 49 points and finished eighth at the Iowa Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Matt Trio and Aaron Zutz earned indoor all-conference honors for the first time of their careers. Trio placed third in the pole vault with a height of 13-5 1/4. Trio finished behind Loras vaulters Kyle Calvert and Chris Buresh who placed first and second respectively. Calvert cleared the bar at 15-11, while Buresh posted a height of 13-11 1/4.
Zutz placed third in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 8:47.22. Ben Grant won the indoor title clocked at 8:43.47 and was followed by Brian Chenoweth of Wartburg with a time of 8:46.14.
The 4 x 800 relay team of J J Cook, Sam Donlan, Drew Burmahl and Tom Blattner also earned all-conference honors with a third place finish. This foursome posted a time of 8:06.77.
