2009 national meet qualifier after placing third at the Iowa Conference Championships...was also named 2009 National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-American...selected team's Most Improved...wrestled at two high schools during his four-year career...wrestled at Central High School, Rapid City, S.D. and completed his career at St. Anthony High School...he earned four letters and was a two-time Illinois State Tournament qualifier earning all-state honors...also lettered in soccer, cross-country and track...twice qualified for the state cross-country championships and twice in the 4 x 800 in track and field...member of the National Honor Society...son of Jay and Kristan Swanson.
