Norse Defeat Blugolds in Home Opener

Luther raised its dual meet record to 2-0 after posting a 23-11 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire here in the Regents Center this evening.
Yonny Quist (141) and 2005 national qualifier Nate Van Dyke (165) posted major decisions to help the Norse break open a somewhat close match. Danny Fornoff (149) won an exciting 9-7 over time victory, giving the Norse a 13-3 lead. Following Van Dyke's major decision, A J Gregg (184) and Allyn Plattner (285) wrapped up Luther's scoring posting a couple of hard fought decisions.
The Norse will return to action on Dec. 3 when they will travel to Cedar Falls for the UNI Open.
