#5 Luther Defeats Simpson 34-9

Luther posted its first victory against an Iowa Conference opponent this evening, defeating Simpson College in front the Regents Center crowd 34-9.
The Norse, ranked #5 in the NCAA III, started the match with a 12-0 lead after Simpson forfeited at 125 and 133. All-American Travis Grawin (141) followed these two matches with a fall at 2:37 giving the Norse an 18-0 advantage. A major decision by A J Gregg at 174 and a fall by Allyn Plattner at 285 completed the bonus points for the evening.
The win was Luther's second of the year against no losses, while Simpson is now 0-2.
