#30 Dubuque Upsets #12 Luther

In a stunning upset at McCormick Gymnasium, #30 University of Dubuque upset #12 Luther 23-18 in front of a crowd estimated at 311.
The Spartans recorded bonus points at 157 and 165 thanks to technical falls. Luther also lost important decision points at 141 where #10 ranked Travis Grawin was defeated 5-3 and at 174 where A J Gregg also lost a close decision.
Yonny Quist at 149, tallied a 7-6 decision over Hunter Davenport, giving the Norse their only points during the first seven matches. Luther tallied 15 points in the final three matches of the evening. #2 ranked Alec Bonandar (197) won by major decision over Cesar Dominguez; John Miller (285) won by major decision over Gordon Johnson; and Lee Meirick (125) posted a fall over Andre Taylor in the final match of the evening.
