Luther Defeated by Top Ranked Teams in the Country
Jan. 30, 2009Luther scored just two points against two of the top ranked teams in the nation this evening at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
In the opening match, #4 Coe defeated #19 Luther 42-2. Jason Pyle (Morrill, Kan./Sabetha) posted the only victory for the Norse, posting a 9-3 victory at 149. Unfortunately, one of the three points Pyle earned was deducted for unsportsmanlike conduct. The Norse were open at 174 and 197.
In the second match, #3 Delaware Valley recorded five falls and also picked up12 bonus points by forfeit, en route to a 52-0 victory.

The Norse will wrap up the dual meet schedule at home on Friday, Feb. 6 when they will host #14 University of Dubuque. This match will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be video streamed.
