#9 Norse Defeat Simpson - Come From Behind to Tie #17 Williams College

Luther traveled to Simpson College to square off with the Storm and nationally ranked Williams College (MA). The Norse cruised to a 39-6 victory over the Storm thanks to falls by Zach Bartlett at 133 and Alec Bonander at 197. The Norse also picked up 18 points when the Storm forfeited at three weights. The victory was the first in Iowa Conference action for the Norse and also increased their overall record to 3-2. Simpson fell to 0-2 in the IIAC and the same record overall.

A tech fall and fall by nationally ranked Alec Bonander (197) and Allyn Plattner (285) gave the Norse a 24-24 tie with #17 Williams College in the nightcap. Luther, ranked #9 in the nation, trailed Williams 24-13 entering the final two matches of the evening. Zach Bartlett (133) also picked up bonus points with an 11-0 major decision.
The tie gives the Norse an overall record of 3-2-1. Williams completed the afternoon with a mark of 1-0-1.
