Luther Athletic Department Begins Video Streaming

A new era has arrived for fans of Luther College athletics. For the past few years, fans have been able to listen to play-by-play of Norse athletic events via audio webcast. This fall, the sports information department added the ability to watch live stats, of home football and basketball games.
Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 16, a third form of instant results will arrive when the athletic department embarks into the world of video streaming, with the inaugural broadcast of men's and women's basketball.
Thanks to the generous contributions received from fans, parents and alumni for the Norse Athletic Association, the sports information department has contracted with Stretch Internet, based in Mesa, Ariz., to provide video streaming of Norse athletic home events free of charge.
Stretch Internet services to more than 150 high schools, colleges, universities, professional teams and radio stations while reaching an audience of more than 50,000 users per month. Founded in 2002 by a former college sports information director, Stretch Internet is devoted to customer service and providing a first-class, high quality experience for its clients and their extended communities.
