TeKippe Named to D3Hoops.Com All-West Region Team

Senior co-captain Ashley TeKippe has been named to the D3hoops.com All-West Region basketball team as a second-team selection. D3hoops.com released the fifteen member three-team squad March 18. All players were nominated and voted upon by the sports information directors from the West Region.
TeKippe, a first-team All-Iowa Conference honoree this season, led the Norse in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and blocked shots during the 2007-08 campaign. She tallied 352 points, 210 rebounds, connected on 51.3 percent of her field goal attempts (123-240) and blocked 68 shots. She also shot 72.1 percent from the free throw line (106-147).
TeKippe and four other Iowa Conference players, all first-team all-conference selections this season, were named to the West Region team. Katelyn Whiton (Simpson College), who was the IIAC MVP, was named West Region Player of the Year: Margo Muhlbauer (Buena Vista University) was a first-team selection; and Natalie Pucci (Loras) and Amber Karkosh (Coe) were both third-team selections.
TeKippe, a 2004 graduate of Decorah High School, is the daughter of George and Maureen TeKippe of Decorah, Iowa.
