Robert Morris College put the halt to Luther's bid to post a third consecutive victory, defeating the Norse 58-54 in the championship game of the Clarke Holiday Basketball Tournament.

An 8-3 run during a two minute stretch that started at 5:44, gave the Eagles the lead for good (49-48) with 3:19 left on the clock. The Eagles extended their lead to four (55-51), only to see the Norse closed the gap to one (55-54), following a three-point play by Jill Eicher at the 1:15 mark. Unfortunately, the Norse were not able to get over the one-point disadvantage en route to their sixth loss of the season.

Both teams shot 40% from the field in a game that saw six lead changes and four ties. The Norse won the battle of the boards, out rebounding Robert Morris 35-27.

Marci Furlong led a trio of double digits scorers for the Norse. Furlong tallied 13 points, followed by Ashley TeKippe with 11 and Amanda Dahlseng with 10. Dahlseng also collected a team high seven rebounds.

Four Robert Morris players reached double digits. Chanel Jones-Delas and Janesha Washington both scored a game high 16 points, while Jessica Harris and Jenita Gordon chipped in 10 each.
