Luther Rolls to First Win of the Season 14-0 over Lakeland

Luther rolled to its first win of the season, 14-0 victory over Lakeland College this afternoon here in Decorah. Eight different players scored led by Dani Meirick and Kelsey Balk who both produced a hat trick. Multiple goals were also scored by Kendra Ledel and Maggie Herrity.
The Norse jumped out to an 8-0 halftime lead and then proceeded to score six more in the final 45 minutes of play.
Norse goalkeeper Hannah Wright was never challenged the entire match as Lakeland got off just two shots, neither of them on goal.
The 14-0 victory is not a school record. Luther posted a 19-0 victory over William Penn University in the first ever meeting between the two schools back in 1996.
Luther's next four matches will be on the road beginning with a date with the St. Olaf Oles this Wednesday in Northfield. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. match.
