Luther defeats viterbo for second win in a row

The Luther College women's soccer team made it two wins in a row following a 2-0 decision over Viterbo University this evening. The match was played on the West Salem High School soccer field, West Salem, Wis.
Anna Grinde and Paige Ofstedahl led the offensive attack with goals at 30:22 and 76:21 respectively. Grinde's goal was her first of the season, while Ofstedahl's was her second. Both goals were unassisted.
Hannah Wright recorded her second shutout of the year turning away six shots on goal, one in the first half and six in the second.
The Norse controlled the action the entire match out shooting the V-Hawks 27-13, placing 15 shots on goal.
The win was the third in the last four matches and increased Luther's overall record to 3-3. Viterbo fell to 3-6.
Luther will return to action on Sept. 22, when it will wrap up its current four-match road trip at St. Ambrose University. Kick-off is slated to take place in Davenport at 4:00 p.m.
