Defending MIAC Champions Concordia-Moorhead Blank Norse 6-0

Concordia-Moorhead, the defending Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) champions, wrapped up an impressive weekend at St. Ben's, posting a 6-0 victory over Luther this afternoon. The Cobbers out shot the Norse 25-1 and scored twice in the first half and four times in the second. The six goals gave the Cobbers a total of nine for the weekend.
Luther (0-2) will return to action on Friday, Sept. 7, when it will host Maryville University (MO) in the opening match of the Classic Soccer Tournament. This three-team tournament will continue on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., when Maryville and Augustana (IL) will play each other. Luther will play Augustana on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. The team that produces the most points based on win-loss record will be declared the champion.
