Norse Lose Heartbreaker in Overtime

Maryville University sophomore forward Amber Hacker scored in the 95th minute, giving the Saints a 3-2 overtime victory. The goal was Hacker's third of the evening.
Kelsey Balk gave the Norse a 1-0 lead in the 70th minute unassisted. The goal was Balk's team leading third of the year. The lead was short lived as Hacker drove in back-to-back goals at 71:32 and 75:52. With time running out. Andrea Martinson scored her first goal of the season off a cross by Anna Grinde with just 32 second left on the clock sending the match into overtime.
The loss gives Luther an overall record of 1-3. The Norse will return to action when they will play Augustana (IL) on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 2:00 p.m. This will be the third and final match of the Classic Soccer Tournament.
