Norse Lose First Conference Match 3-0 to Wartburg

Wartburg scored once in the first half and twice in the second, handing Luther its first conference loss of the season in Waverly this evening.
The Knights scored in the 34th, 66th and 84th minutes en route to the victory. Luther goalkeeper Christina Soward made nine saves as the Knights placed 12 shots on goal. Ashley Meirick, Lisa Torgerson and Emily Ironside all placed two shots on goal for the Norse.
The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference record to 3-1, 6-7 overall. Wartburg is now 12-3 overall, 4-1 in the IIAC.
Luther continues IIAC action on Saturday when it will travel to Cornell College for a 1:00 p.m. match.
