An all-conference and all-region selection for Wartburg College in 2009, Lexy struggled with her decision to transfer to Luther.

"Deciding to transfer was a very tough decision to make. But throughout the process, the administration and staff at Luther were very helpful, friendly, and understanding of my struggles, which made my transition easier. After watching Luther play, I knew it was the type of program I wanted to be involved in. Everyone was up and cheering and having fun the entire game. After meeting the coaches and the women on the team, I know I made the right choice. This is a cohesive, intense team that works hard and has a passion and desire to win. There are high expectations in the classroom, the weight room, and the softball diamond. It is an honor to be a member of such a highly respected team and campus."
