Luther Stays Alive Following Come-From-Behind Victory Over Cornell

Luther scored two runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth en route to a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Cornell College in game five of the Iowa Conference Tournament. The victory keeps Luther alive in the double elimination tournament and increased its overall record to 29-11.
Trailing 2-1 entering the sixth, back-to-back doubles by Tiffany Kruse and Jackie Miller drove in the go-ahead runs. Kim Lambert (11-5) picked up the win in relief. Lambert threw the final five innings, did not allow a hit, and struck out six of the 16 batters she faced.
Luther will play Central in game eight of the tournament tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Central advanced after defeated Simpson 9-4 in game six. The Luther - Central game was originally scheduled to be played at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, but a weather delay has pushed back the tournament schedule.
