Norse Remain Unbeaten - Post Five Wins During the Weekend

The women's tennis team went in two directions this afternoon. At home, the Norse posted impressive wins over Cornell College (9-0) and Grinnell College (8-1). The other half of the squad traveled to Dubuque and posted victories over Dubuque (9-0), Clarke (9-0) and Buena Vista (9-0). Of the 45 matches played during the day, Luther won 44. All of the victories except two were completed in straight sets. The five wins raised Luther's overall record to 3-0 in the Iowa Conference, 7-0 overall.
Molly Beyer at #1 singles won two impressive three-set matches. She defeated Pavla Brachova of Cornell (6-4, 3-6, 10-7), and Camila Alarcon of Grinnell (6-4, 5-7, 10-8).
Luther returns to action on Friday, Sept. 14, when it will travel to Simpson College and Central College.
