Dolan captures second steeplchase title - luther finishes third

Luther wrapped up the 2009 Iowa Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Central College, with a third place finish. The Norse tallied a two-day total of 107 points finishing behind Wartburg College, who claimed the league title with 243 points and Central College with 138.5.
Katie Dolan was the only Nose athlete to earn all-conference honors during the second day of competition. She started the day with her second consecutive league title in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Dolan posted a provisional qualifying time of 11:11.49, finishing 15 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor, Jess Clark of Central. She completed her afternoon with a second place finish in the 5,000 meter run, posting a time of 18:24.81, earning her first all-conference outdoor honor in this event.
