Cory third at iiac heptathlon - earns all-conference honors

Emily Cory earned all-conference honors by placing third at the Iowa Conference heptathlon hosted by Central College May 1-2. Cory posted a point total of 4,225 points that is also an NCAA III provisional qualifying mark for the outdoor championships. Her point total is also the fifth highest point total in Luther history.
Cory posted finishes of second in the high jump (4-11 3/4), shot put (30-3) and javelin (112-07), third in the 100 meter hurdles (16.47), and fourth in the 200 meter dash (27.28), long jump (15-5) and 800 meter run (2:28.32).
Central College will also host the Iowa Conference Outdoor Championships next weekend on Friday and Saturday, May 8-9.
