Luther traveled to Cornell College for its fourth date with an Iowa Conference opponent and was defeated 3-0. Cornell posted game victories of 30-27, 30-28 and 30-17.
Abby Lahr and Leah Sikora paced the Norse offensive attack with 14 and 13 kills respectively. Molly Morrissey dished out a team high 27 assists and also led the squad with two ace serves.
The loss dropped Luther's Iowa Conference record to 1-3 and also snapped a four-match win streak. Luther is now 10-7 overall. Cornell moved to 2-1 in the IIAC, 6-11 overall.
Luther will be off until Oct. 2, when it will host Loras College at 7:30 p.m. in the Regents Center.
