Lahr Named to All-Tournament Team - Luther Posts 1-3 Record at La Crosse Invite

Luther posted a 1-3 record at the UW-La Crosse Invitational held this past weekend. The Norse dropped the opening match of the year to La Crosse 3-0, but bounced back to defeat Wartburg 3-2. Day two saw Luther lose a 0-3 decision to St. Ben's and a 1-3 decision to Wartburg.
Abby Lahr led the Norse offensive attack. She tallied 50 kills for the weekend including 22 in the Wartburg victory. Lahr averaged 3.33 kills per game.
Ally Czechowicz was credited with 32 kills, followed by Leah Sikora (28) and Anne Litsey (20). Heather Hoffman and Molly Morrissey dished out 72 and 61 assists respectively. Morrissey also led the team with 17 service aces.
The Norse will begin Iowa Conference action at the University of Dubuque on Tuesday, Sept. 4. This match will begin at 7:30 p.m.
