Emily Cory Named Iowa Conference Athlete of the Week

The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced today that Luther College volleyball player Emily Cory has been named the IIAC Female Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Oct. 25.
Cory helped Luther to a 5-0 record during this period, including a 3-1 victory over league leading Wartburg College, and was named to the all-tournament team at the UW-La Crosse Invitational. The five wins increased Luther's overall record to 22-10, securing the first 20-win season for the Norse since 1999.
In 19 sets, Cory recorded 68 kills with a .252 attack percentage, 28 digs, and 15 total blocks (four solo).
She leads the Norse with 417 kills averaging 3.42 kills per set. Combined with her kill total from last season, Cory has recorded 852 kills, that ranks eighth on Luther's all-time career list.
